Purpose

EarthWise Heavy is committed to operating in a manner that minimises environmental impact while supporting the sustainable delivery of plant and equipment hire services to the civil, mining, and rehabilitation sectors. Our environmental policy aligns with our mission to transition to a zero-emission fleet by 2030 and to support clients in meeting their own environmental responsibilities.

Scope

This policy applies to all EarthWise Heavy operations, including our dry hire fleet, maintenance activities, transport logistics, office practices, and interactions with clients, suppliers, and contractors.

Our Environmental Commitments

EarthWise Heavy commits to:

  • Reducing Emissions: We are working toward a zero-emission fleet by 2030. Until then, we offset operational emissions through certified carbon credits in partnership with recognised providers such as Greenfleet.

  • Sustainable Equipment Use: We prioritise the acquisition and maintenance of fuel-efficient, low-emission equipment and promote practices that extend machine life and minimise waste.

  • Rehabilitation Support: We actively support mine site rehabilitation and land restoration efforts by supplying plant fit for purpose in environmentally sensitive projects.

  • Pollution Prevention: We will take all reasonable measures to prevent pollution, including fuel, oil, and hydraulic leaks, and ensure all equipment is maintained to the highest environmental standards.

  • Compliance: We comply with all relevant environmental legislation, regulations, and codes of practice in the jurisdictions we operate.

  • Continuous Improvement: We set measurable environmental objectives and targets, which we review regularly to ensure continual improvement in our environmental performance.

  • Awareness and Training: We provide environmental awareness training for our staff and promote sustainable practices with subcontractors and clients.

Implementation and Review

This policy is implemented through our environmental management procedures and integrated into all levels of our operations. It is reviewed annually and updated as necessary to reflect changes in legislation, operational scope, or strategic direction.
