At the core of everything we do

 

At EarthWise Heavy, the safety and wellbeing of our people, contractors, and stakeholders are central to how we operate. Our top management is fully committed to providing safe and healthy working conditions to prevent work-related injuries and illnesses. We actively work to eliminate hazards and reduce occupational health and safety (OH&S) risks through the implementation, maintenance, and continual improvement of our OH&S management system.

 

Our Objectives

EarthWise Heavy is committed to:

  • Preventing and eliminating work-related injuries and illnesses;

  • Identifying, assessing, and controlling workplace hazards and risks to provide a healthy and safe work environment;

  • Ensuring safe systems of work are effectively communicated, implemented, and maintained across all operations.


Our Commitments

To support this policy and embed safety across all levels of the business, EarthWise Heavy will:

  • Ensure consultation and participation of all workers (and where applicable, their representatives) in the development and continuous improvement of OH&S processes, procedures, and policies;

  • Maintain this policy as documented information and make it available to all relevant interested parties;

  • Establish measurable OH&S objectives and targets, and regularly monitor and review them to ensure we are meeting our safety goals;

  • Conduct regular management reviews to assess and improve the effectiveness of our OH&S management system;

  • Report, investigate, and apply appropriate corrective actions to all workplace incidents;

  • Meet all legal and regulatory OH&S requirements, as well as any other obligations we subscribe to;

  • Continually monitor, audit, and improve the performance of our OH&S management system;

  • Maintain conformance and seek certification to ISO 45001:2018 Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems;

  • Review this policy annually to ensure its ongoing suitability and effectiveness.

Our leadership team is accountable for promoting a proactive safety culture where every team member is empowered and expected to act safely and responsibly. We believe that all incidents are preventable, and we are committed to a zero-harm workplace.
